Tell Your Representative: End Trump’s Blockade on Cuba

Call your Representative

Over the last five months, the Trump administration has pushed Cuba deeper into a humanitarian catastrophe while openly floating the possibility of regime change and military action.

In January, Trump declared Cuba an “extraordinary threat” to US national security and signed an executive order threatening tariffs and penalties against countries that supply oil to the island. Since then, the administration has pressured and blocked fuel shipments from countries like Venezuela and Mexico, effectively imposing an energy blockade on Cuba. The consequences have been devastating.

Hospitals, schools, public transportation systems, water infrastructure, and the electrical grid have all been pushed to the brink. Entire cities have faced blackouts lasting more than 20 hours a day. Fuel shortages have disrupted surgeries, food distribution, garbage collection, and emergency services. The U.S. is committing an economic assault on the basic infrastructure of Cuba and inflicting collective punishment. This is a manufactured humanitarian crisis all to destabilize Cuba — because as Trump said, he wants the country to be available for ‘taking’.

Congress cannot remain silent while the administration manufactures a humanitarian crisis and threatens military action.

We call on Members of Congress to:

  1. Oppose any unauthorized military action against Cuba.
  2. Block funding for escalation, intervention, or regime-change operations.
  3. Push to end sanctions and fuel restrictions that are collectively punishing the Cuban people.
  4. Demand diplomacy, humanitarian relief, and respect for Cuban sovereignty.
