  • Community Chats in the Park (Norwood)

This summer, Indivisible Uwharrie is bringing neighbors together through a new series of Community Chats designed to foster conversation, connection, and civic engagement across Stanly County. Held in local parks throughout July and August, these informal gatherings will provide residents with an opportunity to share concerns, discuss community issues, ask questions, and connect with others who care about the future of the county. Topics may include public education, housing, economic development, healthcare access, local government, infrastructure, parks and recreation, and other issues identified by participants. Rather than formal meetings or presentations, Community Chats are intended to be relaxed, drop-in conversations where listening and relationship-building take center stage. Organizers hope the series will strengthen community ties, encourage greater participation in local issues, and create welcoming spaces where people from all backgrounds and perspectives can come together to learn from one another and help build a stronger, more connected Stanly County.
