Indivisible is hosting a **Marshal Training on Wednesday, June 17, at 6:00 PM** for volunteers who would like to serve as marshals during the joint, **NE Wisconsin, Indivisible Action “We Have Friends Everywhere”.**
In Brown County, our June location will be in Howard on Saturday, June 27.
Marshals play a vital role in keeping large gatherings safe, organized, and welcoming. They help guide participants along the march route, assist with crowd flow, communicate with event organizers, and help ensure everyone understands where to go and what to do. Marshals act as a calm, visible presence that helps prevent confusion and keeps the event running smoothly.
All marshals will be provided with **bright yellow safety vests** so participants can easily identify them during the event.
For Indivisible’s NE Wisconsin joint actions, we will be traveling to the suburbs and more rural areas of Brown County. The more marshals we have, the better we can ensure a safe experience for everyone attending.
Serving as a marshal is an important act of service. It means stepping into a support role rather than holding a sign or engaging with the crowd in the usual way, and we are deeply grateful to those who volunteer for this responsibility. Marshals are essential to the success and safety of large public gatherings like this one.
**Marshal Erich** will walk volunteers through marshal responsibilities, communication protocols, and how to respond to common situations that may arise during these Indivisible events.
If you want to play a key role in helping make these **”We Have Friends Everywhere”** events safe and successful, please join us for this training.
We appreciate your willingness to help protect the community while we gather together.
