Please join us every Friday from 4:00-6:00pm (weather permitting*) at the Gorman Road overpass in Laurel to stop the rise of authoritarianism, defeat right-wing political agendas, and build a multiracial, inclusive democracy. If you too feel a need to speak out and use your freedom to protest, then this is your opportunity to join like-minded people who believe in our constitution and in humanity. This is a fun way to do something useful – lots of honking and affirmation from the 20K+ cars below. Wear appropriate clothes for the weather or your character costumes. We have large signs and flags for the I-95 traffic below. But you can bring your own flags and smaller signs (for local traffic). Or just bring yourself and friends too of course.
The Gorman Road Overpass may be hard to find as it is not a direct exit off of I-95, but you can put “9706 Gorman Rd” in your GPS.
These are local Indivisible events with help from the local Columbia Democratic Club, the Visibility Brigade, and others!
*Rain can be a weather constraints that may keep us from being there.
*A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values
