Power 2026: Reclaiming Our Voice, a rally at Penn Square in Lancaster as we kick off the election season.
African American poet June Jordan shared the famous call for personal and social change, honoring those fighting apartheid in 1978 when she stated, “We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.”
If you are sick (maybe even exhausted) of the last 18 months of attacks on our institutions, immigrants, healthcare, education, and our democracy, let our rally on 8/15 be the jolt of energy you need to kick it into gear and reclaim our voice.
The next 100 days is our opportunity to step up and build the coalition needed to win in November, so that we can build a government that works for everyday people, not just billionaires and special interests. There is one Donald Trump. There is one Elon Musk. There are more of us.
Together, we’ll explore these three questions:
Who is our government and economy really working for?
What would our communities look like if everyday people had the loudest voice instead of the wealthiest?
What can each of us do between now and Election Day to help create that future?
You’ll hear from inspiring local candidates and speakers representing labor, education, healthcare, and community organizations as they share practical solutions to strengthen our communities, reduce the influence of big money in politics, and ensure every voice matters.
Then, turn inspiration into action. Meet local organizations and sign up to:
Register voters
Canvass and knock doors
Write postcards and make calls
Donate to local candidates
Be a part of election protection efforts
Volunteer with community organizations
Get involved in local advocacy efforts
Real change has to come from ordinary people working together, not just attending rallies. So, this rally is about building the relationships, energy, and momentum needed to make a difference in Lancaster County and beyond. You’ll leave with a plan of action for the next 100 days.
