Indivisible Boca Raton & Resist Wilton Manors are combining forces to protest George Zoley, the CEO of the GEO Group. The GEO Group operates facilities on behalf of ICE and have made a fortune doing so. Their surveillance technology tracks and locates individuals targeted in ICE raids and deportations. They have faced accusations of inhumane conditions within its detention facilities and other human rights abuses.
No company should be allowed to profit while people in its care are subjected to inhumane conditions. It is unconscionable that private detention companies continue to generate enormous profits, while people in their custody are forced to endure conditions that human rights advocates have repeatedly described as inhumane.
This protest will take place right across the street from George Zoley’s residence.
