The 2026 Iran war has resulted in thousands of deaths and tens of thousands of injuries, mostly in Iran and Lebanon but also in Iraq, Israel, Palestine, countries around the Persian Gulf (particularly Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates), and other countries and regions. Estimates on Wikipedia indicate over 8,000 killed and over 49,000 injured.
Outrageously, the number of U.S. casualties fluctuates with whatever is convenient for the administration. According to reports in the Guardian, “A total of 18 U.S. service members have been killed since the United States launched its war against Iran on February 28, 2026. Additionally, more than 600 U.S. troops have been wounded in the conflict.”
