🌳 Democracy in the Park — featuring Sherry Berecz 🌳
Join Indivisible: Downriver United 734 for our community conversation series as we welcome Sherry Berecz, candidate running for Michigan State House District 28!
Sherry is a lifelong Downriver resident, single mother, and public servant with more than 25 years of experience in local government. As the current Brownstown Township Supervisor, she knows firsthand what it takes to manage budgets, fight for local services, and deliver real results for working families. She’s running for State House because she believes Lansing should work for the people of Brownstown, Woodhaven, Flat Rock, Rockwood, and Taylor — not for special interests.
Sherry is fighting for fair school funding so that kids in Downriver communities get the same opportunities as kids anywhere else in Michigan, for increased state revenue sharing to protect police, firefighters, and local services, and for infrastructure investments that make a real difference in people’s daily lives. She’s been endorsed by EMILYs List, a testament to the strength of her candidacy and the stakes of this race.
Come hear from Sherry, ask your questions, and engage in the kind of honest, grounded conversation that democracy is supposed to look like. Everyone is welcome.
