  • Indivisible Rescinds Graham Platner Endorsement and Calls on Him to Drop Out of the Race

    Jul 7, 2026

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Indivisibles announced the rescission of their endorsement of Graham Platner, Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate election in Maine. Indivisible’s co-founder and co-executive directors, Leah Greenberg and Ezra Levin, released the following statement:

“Earlier this cycle, when our Maine Indivisible groups voted to endorse Graham Platner, we shared their excitement for a candidate who promised to fight for our democracy and working families. Today, we share their sense of betrayal and disappointment. These disturbing allegations stand in direct conflict with our values. That is why Indivisible is rescinding our endorsement of Graham Platner, effective immediately. We stand firmly committed to  ensuring survivors are heard, supported, and that their accounts are treated with the gravity they deserve.

“Our endorsement started with the grassroots vote, and we are rescinding our endorsement after direct consultation with our local Maine groups. We join with Maine Indivisible groups to call for a transparent, inclusive, democratic process that gives Mainers a voice in choosing their Senate nominee.

“We remain committed to working with leaders in Maine and following their lead to defeat Susan Collins and elect a fighter this November.”
