With the midterms fast approaching, join us on Sunday, July 19th from 3:00pm-5:00pm as we relaunch Activists Afternoons at St James Church!
July 17-19 is “Good Trouble Lives On”, a nationwide weekend of action in honor of the memory of Congressman John Lewis. He shared, “Freedom is not a state; it is an act… Freedom is the continuous action we all must take, and each generation must do its part to create an even more fair, more just society.” Come take action with us!
Activists Afternoons is a chance for us to connect as a community and work together toward protecting our democracy. During Activists Afternoons we will have several types of activities including postcard writing, phone banking, and training for midterm canvassing in neighboring states.
“Bring yourself, some friends, and good energy! If you want to phone bank, please bring a charged laptop and phone. Training will be provided!”
