Every Thursday, Indivisible co-founders Ezra Levin and Leah Greenberg host a participatory conversation on the week’s news, the state of our democracy, and our plan to defeat the authoritarian threats we face.
How you tell a story can be as important as the story itself. It reveals your priorities, it gives your message focus, and it helps people to understand why certain issues are important and how they might be addressed. Plot gives a story emotional direction, and provides points of revelation that help people to understand what values you are communicating.
With this talk I will be outlining a variety of approaches to structuring story. In this way you have a set of tools from which you can select what will best tell your stories of democracy, community, and a better future.
Stories mould our collective vision and thereby have real impact. Learn more ways in which you can be an effective storyteller on the behalf of democracy, as well as human and environmental rights!
