Every Thursday, Indivisible co-founders Ezra Levin and Leah Greenberg host a participatory conversation on the week’s news, the state of our democracy, and our plan to defeat the authoritarian threats we face.
As tens of thousands of football fans flood into Athens for UGA home games, we will hold banners at overpasses with pedestrian access to protest the authoritarian takeover of our country. Volunteers will hold up lightweight banners readable from the highway, with such messages as SAY NO TO ICE and TRUMP AGENDA–DESTROY AMERICA. We also wave signs where cars are backed up at nearby stoplights. So bring your protest signs for maximum eyeballs on game day! Remember, it may be hot and sunny with no shade or bathroom facilities, so plan accordingly.

Only September 5 and 12 have start times. The times for the other games will be edited as information becomes available. Parking is at Homewood Hills Shopping Center. Then it’s a short walk to the overpass.
