    This a local Indivisible event!

A generation has passed since 9/11. For many, it remains a living memory whose sadness was seared into our lives. We don’t observe it as a national holiday but our own collective day of grieving. As the Civil War, the Great War and World War II were to previous generations, September 11 was the calamity of our lifetime.

In that moment twenty-five years ago, we came together as one nation indivisible. At a time of human catastrophe, we shared a spirit of resilience that seemed inextinguishable.

On Saturday, September 12, we remember the loss we felt so long ago. This isn’t a time for despair. It’s a time to show that we, standing together peacefully and courageously, will be heard.

So come stand beside your neighbors. Come stand for justice. Come stand for peace. Come stand in strength. Not in anger or fear, but for those whose voices are silent and those whose voices are ignored. Together, we can reclaim our nation’s abiding principle of liberty and justice for all.

*A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
