  • HE HAS NO HUB HERE. REMOVE ALEX MOODY.

    Hey, Indivisibles!

We need your voices. Now. (Well, Monday to be exact!)

On October 10, Alex Moody was cited for assault after an incident involving a protester at a Heritage Hubs Knox event he was co-hosting. Moody was appointed to the Knox County Board of Zoning Appeals in September.

We believe this raises serious questions about the judgment and behavior we should expect from someone appointed to serve our county.

Hate has no hub here. And violence has no place in public service.

Someone who exhibits this behavior is not a good look for the county.

Combine with recent behaviors of 11 members of our Knox County Sheriff’s department were arrested for corruption this year, this only further diminishes public trust.

Recent determinations of the commission to vote to rescind flock was a good step in responding to the community. This is yet another step in listing to the concerns of constituents.

This is our chance to tell Knox County commissioners that accountability matters. That public service comes with responsibility. And that no one should be above the standards we expect from those who serve our community.

We have TWO ways to make our voices heard:

    1. EMAIL YOUR COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
Tell them you support moving forward with the process to remove Alex Moody from the Board of Zoning Appeals in November. Keep it simple. Tell them why this matters to you and ask them to take action.

Find your commissioner by voting district:

    2. SHOW UP ON OCTOBER 26 @5PM
Come to the County Commission meeting at the City County Building and speak up in person.

    Register here to speak:

    Request to Speak

Even if public speaking isn’t your thing, your presence matters. There is power in showing up. When commissioners look out and see their constituents standing together, they know we are paying attention.

We know what happens when people stop paying attention. We know what happens when public officials aren’t held accountable. And we know that protecting our community means speaking up when something isn’t right.

Remember our recent win with Flock? People spoke up, commissioners listened, and things changed. That’s what happens when we make our voices heard.

    Let’s do it again.

Please take a few minutes to email your commissioners, and if you can, join us on the 26th!

We don’t have to agree on everything to agree that violence is unacceptable and public trust matters.
