The next No Kings Day is coming
The next No Kings Day will be different. Join the No Kings kickoff call this Thursday, 9/10 at 8pm ET/5pm PT to learn about the national day of voter participation being planned for this October.
No experience necessary!
Join us to create a giant puppet and make your own patchwork as part of our Liberty Patchwork project.
We will have two parallel projects during the evening:
1 – assembling and painting our large-scale Lady Liberty puppet, and
2 – creating patchwork squares (no sewing skills needed) that will be added to the puppet and other pieces of the community artwork
The Liberty Patchwork quilt squares are one way that anyone can contribute to the project. Our Lady Liberty will be wearing a robe covered in patchwork, with each square representing a part of our community (that’s you!). We invite people to create quilt squares inspired by their communities, their heritage, and the communities they are in solidarity with.
This event is open to anyone who is interested, even if this will be your first time joining us. Come for the whole event, or stop by for an hour or two.
