Resistance work takes a significant mental and emotional toll. All freedom and liberation movements need community spaces to support the personal impact of the work.
The core goals of this group are to:
(1) create dedicated time and space for giving and receiving emotional support
(2) learn practical strategies to deal with burnout, feelings of powerlessness, and the persistent exposure to instances of violence and oppression (just to name a few)
The group is co-facilitated by two licensed mental health professionals.
The support group meeting will take place after the monthly Indivisible LT meeting, from 5:15 – 6:15 pm on the third Sunday of the month. Hosted at the Quaker meeting house at 110 Tulane Terrace, Lancaster, PA, 17603. You do NOT have to attend the Indivisible meeting to come to the support group.
