On Monday, October 26, 2026, Indivisible East Bay’s Gaza Action Squad will host a trauma and general surgeon from the Bay Area who recently returned from working at Al Shifa hospital in Gaza City. Our guest will describe how his international team from a small NGO, Humanity Auxilium, worked with local doctors, in particular women, to provide care where medical supplies are subject to engineered shortages. Despite the so-called “cease-fire,” there are ongoing Israeli missile and drone strikes on the general population, as well as the stress of general deprivation of water, sanitation, and shelter. Our guest will describe what it means to provide medical care under these conditions. All are welcome.
The IEB Gaza Action Squad opposes the ongoing destruction of the society and people of Gaza and the West Bank, and we do what we can to stop it. We lobby Senators and other legislators to stop military aid to Israel, promote divestment from companies that facilitate genocide, support initiatives such as the Oakland People’s Arms Embargo, and meet with people with first-hand knowledge of events in Palestine. We regularly invite speakers to our Zoom meetings.
