Saturday is No Kings Day
The wannabe-king is intent on sabotaging our midterms. This weekend, we turn out by the millions to nonviolently defend our elections, our democracy, and our rights. First in the streets, and then at the polls. Join us.
## Register to attend the Official No Kings Virtual & Accessible Get Out the Vote Rally, hosted by Stand Up for Science, on Saturday October 17 at noon Eastern.
We are entering the most crucial moment of our shared project to save science and democracy in America: next month’s midterm elections.
### Stand Up for Science (SUFS) is honored once again to partner with No Kings to host and produce the official virtual and accessible rally as a launch for our sprint toward electoral victories on November 3rd. Following the speakers, we are hosting a mass get out the vote action.
Scheduled speakers so far include:
– **Stacey Abrams**, Author, Entrepreneur, and Voting Rights Activist.
– **Theo Braddy**, veteran disability rights advocate and movement leader, Executive Director of the National Council on Independent Living (NCIL)
– **Michael Lewis**, best-selling author of Moneyball, The Big Short and, most recently of Blockers, the story of Trump 2.0’s DOGE destroyers and the federal employees who resisted
– **Colette Delawalla**, Founder and Executive Director of SUFS
_Our No Kings GOTV Rally is designed to meet online accessibility standards as well as affording accessibility to all Americans who can’t make it to an IRL No Kings Rally because of accessibility challenges, because of work or caregiver commitments, or who are located outside the US or in a No Kings rally desert._
But in this run-up to the midterm elections, accessibility is also about ensuring all voters have **access to a ballot**—in early voting or overseas voting by mail—and **access to the voting booth itself** on election day, unimpeded by Trump’s multi-front assault on our cherished American right to vote.
That’s why our rally’s battle cry is: **Save the Vote — Save Science — Save Democracy!**
We look forward to seeing you on the 17th!
No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.
A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
