National grassroots organization endorses 5 additional candidates ahead of Democratic primaries, including 2 challengers to Democratic incumbents.

Washington, DC Today, Indivisible announced its first round of endorsements for Congressional races in the 2020 election cycle:

    MA-01 – Alex Morse

    NJ-05 – Arati Kreibich

    WI-08 – Amanda Stuck

    NY-24 – Dana Balter

    CA-21 – TJ Cox

“Indivisible is proud to endorse these five candidates for Congress. Each of them is committed to living out their values in Congress and they have earned the support of the grassroots because of it,” IE political director Lucy Solomon said. “We know that 2020 can’t be a return to the status quo: that we need to address the root causes of our current crisis in our democracy. If 2021 is truly to be the beginning of major reform in America, we need candidates unafraid to fight for the change we desperately need. The candidates we are endorsing today will help accomplish that vision we see for the future and for that reason we will work tirelessly to help them get to Congress.”

Two of these candidates, Alex Morse and Arati Kreibich, will be taking on well-funded Democratic incumbents in primary elections. Indivisible is committed to uplifting progressive candidates, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds, even if that means going against the Democratic establishment.

To earn Indivisible’s national endorsement, a candidate must clear a tough three-stage process that requires broad support from local Indivisible group members at multiple points. All endorsed candidates must have a strong progressive platform aligned with our movement’s values and the enthusiastic support of informed energized voters in their district.
