Washington, D.C. – On Monday, February 10, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Representative Maxine Waters, and others will gather for a rally at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Elon Musk and Donald Trump are stealing from consumers, attempting to kill this essential agency that protects Americans from fraud and exploitation at the hands of banks and corporations.
Since its establishment after the 2007 financial crisis, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has returned over $21 billion to consumers in compensation, canceled debts, and consumer relief, benefitting over 205 million Americans.
Regular people rely on the CFPB every day to protect their money and their livelihoods—and Elon Musk is trying to eliminate it by stealing from you to give tax breaks to billionaires.
