Friends and neighbors gather every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00 to 5:30 on a bridge that crosses Rt 66 in Arlington VA. We deploy letter messages and banners for drivers passing below the bridge, and pedestrians and drivers who cross the bridge. We provide the banners, letters and American flags. You are welcome to bring your own sign and/or flag. If you bring your own sign, we expect them to avoid hateful, vulgar or profane language.
We abide by Indivisible’s comittment to non-violent action and have trained de-escalators on hand, just in case.
A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
