**We have the power and are claiming it together. No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings.**
Join Indivisible Rise and Shine for an OVERPASS BRIGADE on No KINGS 3 Day. We will be on the bridge that goes over highway 10 from the Food 4 Less to the Kaiser. We will be on the East Facing side for easy access, but the West facing side is also available if we have enough people. We will have some signs available, and some large signage for the fence. You may bring SMALL signs to face towards the bridge traffic or LARGE signs to face towards the HIGHWAY traffic. Flags, bubbles, whistles, percussion are all welcome. It will be early so you may want a sweater and sunscreen. Bring water! Bring Coffee!!!You may bring a chair if needed but be aware that there will be foot traffic on the bridge and it may be necessary to briefly move for passerbys.
Park in the Food 4 Less Parking lot in the spaces closest to the highway (behind taco bell) and you will need to walk up the overpass to get to a spot where the traffic will see us. While the event is wheelchair accessible, it is only for intrepid wheelchair users, as the incline is a little steep. If you wish to join us but the walk is an impediment, you are welcome to protest at the bottom of the bridge on the street. It will ALL be meaningful. If you cannot do either, consider sharing the post or driving by and honking or filming! (tag #indivisbleriseandshine) Everyone can do SOMETHING! And together we are unstoppable
We have done the overpass brigade before at this spot and the CHP and Baldwin Park Police have arrived but have not tried to stop us or aggressively interacted as it is within our legal right to protest on the sidewalk in Baldwin Park and a permit is not needed. We have checked.
What began in 2025 as a single day of defiance has become a sustained national resistance to tyranny, spreading from small towns to city centers and across every community determined to defend democracy. Our peaceful movement is bigger than ever.
When our families are under attack and costs are pushing people to the brink, silence is not an option. We will defend ourselves and our communities against this administration’s unjust and cruel acts of violence.
On March 28th, rise up, take to the streets, and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings. We’re not watching history happen—we’re making it. Join us.
*A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events. *
