  • MayDay Strong in Glen Burnie!

**Democracy should work for working people, not billionaires.** While working families are stretched to the brink, billionaires and corporations are posting record profits and hoarding the wealth our labor creates.

Join Indivisble Glen Burnie in support of **May Day Strong,** a national movement to prioritize working families and un-rig our system. Take the **May Day Strong pledge** if you can: **No Work, No School, No Shopping on May 1st!** That day we’ll show support for workers with a demonstration from 4:15 to 6:15. Bring your pro-labor signs and banners, and your American flags!

After the demonstration we will also be having a Mayday picnic! We will be connecting with neighbors to build solidarity and start laying the groundwork for strong mutual aid.

Please bring food for yourself, a chair if you need one, and you are also welcome to bring an unneeded item that a neighbor may need.

One of the greatest tools against oppression has always been community- the solidarity between workers and neighbors. When we share instead of buying, or build other kinds of mutual aid, we make long term boycotts more sustainable and successful, strengthening our communities in the process. This event is a great opportunity to help in the movement against the corporate billionaire takeover, connect with neighbors and friends, help each other out, and have fun doing it!

**_A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events._**

Parking is available in the lot behind Bruster’s Ice Cream on Aquahart. Please park towards the rear of the lot so we don’t get in the way of Bruster’s customers!
