Our ongoing **Know Your Rights canvasses** reach out to businesses with information about the rights of individuals and employers when dealing with ICE. DHS is active in Anne Arundel County, with multiple arrests in the Brooklyn Park and Glen Burnie area. It’s vital that people know their rights and how to prepare for interactions with ICE and other immigration agencies.
If you haven’t done a KYR canvass before, no worries! We’ll have a brief training before going out, and we work in teams. The focus will be the Glen Burnie area. These canvasses get very positive responses from the community overall. In the few cases where people are not open to our message, we simply move on!
