    ### Current Jobs for 2026 :

    – Total nonfarm payrolls: +178,000 jobs in March

    – Unemployment rate: 4.3%, little changed from February (4.4%)

    – Number of unemployed people: 7.2 million, also little changed

    Updated previous loss of JOBS:

    – January 2026: revised from +126,000 to +160,000 (up 34,000)

    – February 2026: revised from –92,000 to –133,000 (down 41,000)

    – Three‑month average job growth: about 68,000 per month after revisions.

    – Average hourly earnings (all private nonfarm): up 9 cents (0.2%) to 37.38 dollars in March

    – Year‑over‑year wage growth: 3.5%
