This is a local event in Mountain View, CA, open to all participating in May Day (International Workers’ Day) actions on May 1.
On May Day, people across the country are taking part in a **nationwide day of noncooperation**:
– **No work**
– **No school**
– **No shopping**
There will be marches and rallies throughout the Bay Area, including events we are organizing and joining in [Mountain View](https://www.mobilize.us/mayday/event/937049/) and [San Jose](https://www.mobilize.us/mobilize/event/932076/).
To prepare, we’ll be **making protest signs** that you can bring to these events. We will use paint, markers, color tape, construction paper, whatever works best. There will be different poster sizes available. Let your creativity fly (if your creativity is tapped out – that’s fine too, we’ll have some easy-to-make inspiration for signs).
Blank posters and art supplies will be provided, but if you can bring your own (especially jumbo markers!), that would be appreciated! We will be (mostly) indoors, and outside if possible. Snacks will be served. Food brought to share would also be welcome.
Noncooperation is simple in principle: we don’t go along. But it only works when people act together. Join us to make something you’ll carry into May Day and take part in a visible, collective action.
