The Indivisible Knoxville Mutual Aid Network (IKMAN) Time Bank is live!
If you’re ready to get started with time banking as an alternative to spending your hard earned money with people and institutions you may not wish to support, or looking for a way to contribute your skills to your community, please join us at the next New Member Orientation Meeting this Tuesday, April 21st at 6:30pm at the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church located at 2931 Kingston Pike in Room A.
We invite you to take a moment before the meeting to visit our web page (www.ikman.team) and read more about time banking. When you’re ready, click Join to enter the Time Bank and review the introductory materials. Part, but not all, of the meeting will be devoted to getting you acquainted with our online tool, the Hour World platform, which will support our mutual aid activities. We’ll also talk about how and what you can give and receive, and practices that will help us build our community.
We will meet for orientations regularly on the first and third Tuesday of the month to answer questions and onboard new members. However, if you cannot attend any of these meetings, the online application will be available in the Hour World platform. We can work out one-on-one orientations in person, over the phone, or on zoom if necessary. There is an orientation for everyone who wants one! If you have any questions, feel free to send us an email: ikman@indivisibleknoxville.org.
There will also be times to share offers and requests in person as part of the Indivisible Courage Collective meetings on second Tuesdays at St James Episcopal at 530, and Indivisible Well Being Meetings at 4th Presbyterian on 3rd Sundays at 2pm. *Note: although our meetings are often at several area churches, Indivisible nor IKMAN have any religious affiliation.
We look forward to seeing you there!
