About Indivisible

We’re organizing against this fascistic clown show of a regime the only way that actually works: with on-the-ground, volunteer-led, communities of people power.

Who we are:

Indivisible is a nationwide movement of millions of people working to stop the rise of authoritarianism in the US and to demand a real democracy.

We believe that politics is too important to leave up to the politicians – it requires all of us to get on the field.

Our Story:

We know that democracy only works when everyday people organize, show up, and hold those in power accountable.

Indivisible was founded in 2016 by former congressional staffers who saw, from the inside, how grassroots pressure can shape political outcomes. What began as a practical guide for civic action quickly grew into a powerful, people-led movement.

What we do:

When you join Indivisible, you join a movement, not a nonprofit.

Indivisible leaders and members show up and do stuff together. They speak with their neighbors. They advocate. They train. They elect new leaders. They name and shame. They try out new tactics. They make a splash. They get attention. And they force the political and economic systems that influence our lives to listen and change. We call this organizing, and it’s how we build and wield power together.

Our approach

Our organization supports locally led organizing because real change won’t come from politicians, but from organized people power.

Indivisible provides tools, training, research, and strategic coordination so people can take effective action—whether that means protecting free and fair elections, stopping harmful legislation, or demanding bold solutions to the challenges we face.

Our vision:

Together, we are indivisible.

Our vision is a democracy that delivers for everyone—not just the wealthy or well-connected. We are committed to nonviolent action, multiracial democracy, and a government that is accountable to the people it serves.
