With an unshakeable vision of an America that works for the many and not the few, Graham Platner is running to unrig our billionaire economy and make life more affordable for working people.
Graham knows change can’t wait. As an oyster farmer, harbormaster, and combat veteran, he’s experienced first-hand the same struggles facing working families. From sky high gas prices caused by unwanted wars to closed down rural hospitals due to cuts to Medicaid, Graham knows that folks are getting squeezed by the Trump regime. It’s why he’s running to take on Susan Collins, a billionaire-backed rubber stamp for Trump’s authoritarian, anti-abortion, anti-immigrant agenda. Despite her promise to vote against Supreme Court nominees who demonstrate “hostility” toward Roe v. Wade, she voted to confirm Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch, effectively clearing the path for the erosion of abortion access in the US. Collins also (falsely) took credit for ICE ceasing operations in Maine in January, then turned around and voted to authorize $70 billion in new funding for ICE just over a week ago. And who can forget how she helped the Trump regime slash healthcare to fund billionaire tax cuts.
Graham, on the other hand, understands what Maine needs to make life more affordable for working people, and that’s reflected in his people-powered campaign. He’s standing firm on his promise to reject corporate PAC money and represent the people of Maine, not the billionaire class. In the Senate, Graham will fight for the kinds of solutions that support working families, like bringing down costs, funding schools, and keeping hospitals open.
Bangor Indivisible, Greater Portland Indivisible, Saco Bay Indivisible, Western Kennebec County Indivisible, Indivisible Peninsula, and Lake Region Indivisible have all endorsed Graham Platner because, in the battle against fascism, we need leaders like him. We’re proud to stand with Maine Indivisibles to support Platner in his run to be the next U.S. Senator for Maine.
