A longtime organizer for immigrant rights, Julie has championed legislation to stop ICE from getting access to personal data and protect immigrants from arrest when they go to the doctor, school, or their place of worship. As a member of the Colorado State Senate, she’s delivered major wins including enshrining abortion as a fundamental right, advancing voting rights, lowering the cost of prescription drugs, and repealing the death penalty.
Julie is unapologetically progressive, running a people-powered campaign to be a U.S. Senator Colorado deserves — one who is bold, honest, and willing to fight the fascist takeover of our government with the urgency and passion this moment requires. In the U.S. Senate, she’ll fight for affordability for all by establishing universal healthcare, childcare, and elder care, raising the federal minimum wage, and securing affordable housing. She’ll ensure a fair deal for everyone by cracking down on price gouging and junkfees, strengthening worker power, and banning congressional stock trading. She’ll champion the freedom to thrive by abolishing ICE, strengthening voting rights, and expanding access to abortion.
