Join us for our June Bimonthly Member Meeting!

Our guest speaker will be Todd May, who will present It’s Not a One-Off: A Brief Introduction to Grassroots Organizing. Todd is currently the Nielsen Professor of the Humanities at Warren Wilson College. He’s written 18 books, including Nonviolent Resistance: A Philosophical Introduction. He’s been involved in LGBTQ rights, Palestinian rights, anti-apartheid, anti-Contra aid, anti-racism, and other movements, and periodically conducts grassroots organizing and civil disobedience workshops.

We’ll also have reports on current actions, upcoming events, and other ways to get involved, plus a special update on our voter outreach and engagement activities through our WNC Votes! Voter Outreach Coalition. Learn how you can get involved in voter engagement through canvassing, voter registration, youth outreach, Hispanic/Latino outreach, postcarding, community organizing, and more.

Indivisible AVL bimonthly meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of the month in February, April, June, August, and October, with an earlier date in December reserved for an informal end-of-year social gathering. Everyone is welcome at all of our events, including and especially first-timers. So come learn what’s up with the resistance, find opportunities to get involved, and share your questions, suggestions, and ideas. And bring a friend!
