Hi Climate Action Team Book Group members! Before we meet again, I hope you’ll read our upcoming book and that you will vote in the Nov. 3 midterms and encourage everyone you know to do the same. After that shameless plug for civic engagement, here are the details for our November meeting: we are reading “Is a River Alive” by Rob McFarlane and published in 2025. It is widely available. I checked mine out through our local library system.
It is described as gorgeous prose and deep environmental philosophy, investigating the idea that rivers are living entities and entitled to legal protection. It also read like an adventure book to me!
