Ohio ranks fifth for data centers, with over 200 built and 77 more planned. But significant community pushback has developed over the vast amount of water and energy they consume — resulting in new gas plants to power data centers across the state. In this presentation, Save Ohio Parks discusses environmental and social justice concerns about data center energy use, and how data centers could be powered differently, along with recommendations for state and local officials.
