🌳 Democracy in the Park — featuring Joanna Whaley 🌳

Join Indivisible: Downriver United 734 for our community conversation series as we welcome Joanna Whaley, candidate running for Michigan State House District 2!

Joanna is a lifelong Southeast Michigan resident, clinical spiritual care provider, and parent who has spent her career holding space for people in their hardest moments. She’s running to make sure Lansing works for the everyday people of Allen Park, Lincoln Park, Melvindale, and Southgate — not for special interests.

From fixing roads and water issues to tackling the cost of living, Joanna believes no issue is too small or too big if it affects people’s daily lives. She’s shown throughout this campaign that she won’t back down from a fight — and that’s exactly the kind of representation District 2 deserves.

Democracy in the Park brings candidates directly to the people they hope to serve — no fancy venues, no gatekeepers, just real conversation in the community. Come hear from Joanna, ask your questions, and engage in the kind of honest dialogue that democracy is supposed to look like. Everyone is welcome.
