About 200,000 people live in St. Louis County. St. Louis is the largest county east of the Mississippi River, and the largest county in Minnesota. With an area of 6,860 square miles it is larger than Delaware and Rhode Island combined, and 25% larger than Connecticut. District 1 includes Park Point, East and Central Hillside, Duluth Heights and the Chester Bowl area.
