Election Postcards and Whistle Kits with NELC-I

## **Join NE Lake County Indivisible Outreach & Elections Teams for postcard writing!**

The fight to protect voting rights never ends, and right now, we’re witnessing a Jim-Crow-era effort from politicians and their billionaire friends to restrict our freedoms, silence our voices, and consolidate power.

But in America, we choose our leaders. We will decide our future. The same spirit that fueled Selma, Montgomery, and the March on Washington lives on in our unified action.

We will be writing voter encouragement to Swing States, as postcards are an effective way to turn out the vote in swing states to help anti-MAGA candidates win their races. This is also a good chance to come socialize with like-minded people, and hear about all the other good work NELC-I does if you have not been to an event before.

#### Note: while we will be focusing on elections postcards, we will also have supplies to continue making Know Your Rights whistle kits to provide to our community. If you prefer that activity, we welcome you as well!

Join us for socializing, light refreshments, and doing our part. We will provide all training and supplies, so just bring yourself (and a friend or two)! Stamp donations are always appreciated, but not necessary.
