Indivisible Corning Elmira is answering Fall of Freedom’s nationwide call for creative resistance, culminating in a public exhibit the weekend of October 2-4 (for more info: https://www.falloffreedom.com/).
Our exhibit will be titled “The Line That Connects Us All” — a visual representation of our shared humanity and how our differences can connect and strengthen us as a community.
Participants will make a self-portrait from a line drawing (as simple or detailed as you wish). The line will extend to the edge of the paper on either side. These drawings will be hung so that the lines meet up, resulting in a continuous unbroken line of connection between all of us.
We have scheduled several drawing sessions over the next two months, led by a professional artist. Choose the session that works best for you – you only need to attend one.
