ZEELAND, MICHIGAN
Good Trouble Indivisible will coordinate a silent Voter Suppression March through downtown Zeeland.
Please register in advance. We provide all signs.
Please dress in black.
Our public-awareness signs expose the laws, policies, tactics, and deliberate barriers being used to suppress the vote and silence the voices of the American people.
Voting is the foundation of representative government.
When voting rights are attacked, democracy itself is under attack.
LOCATION:
📍 Meet in front of Zeeland City Hall.
LOOK for Jan’s yellow Jeep at 11:30 AM to sign in and pick up your sign.
The march will begin promptly, so please do not be late.
SCHEDULE
⏰ 11:30 AM — Sign-in and sign pickup
Good Trouble Indivisible provides all signs. Signs are not available once the lineup begins.
⏰ 11:45 AM — Lineup and instructions
You must be present for lineup and instructions to participate in the march.
⏰ 12:00 PM — Voter Suppression March begins promptly
⏰ Event concludes at approximately 1:00 PM
Water and protein bars will be provided by Good Trouble Indivisible.
Participants will march silently in a coordinated, single-file formation through downtown Zeeland while dressed in black and carrying voter-suppression public-awareness signs.
The march is accompanied only by the steady heartbeat drum.
Participants walk slowly and silently, directly in line with the person in front of them, emulating a funeral procession representing the death of our democracy.
We do not acknowledge passersby.
We look straight ahead.
We remain expressionless.
Our Safety Team will lead and flank participants, ensure safe street crossings, and help protect the formation.
At designated points throughout the march, the procession will stop, turn toward storefronts, restaurants, and the public, and raise our signs in silent witness before continuing forward.
No chanting.
No screaming.
No chaos.
Just silent, disciplined civic resistance.
This powerful visual style of protest has drawn attention throughout Michigan and across the United States. Other organizations have contacted Good Trouble Indivisible for help replicating these marches in their own communities.
Together, we are creating a Civic Resistance Ecosystem and building public awareness through our unique model of silent, disciplined protest.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Participants dress in black clothing.
Comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended.
HOW TO PREPARE:
WE provide the signs.
YOU dress in black.
WE provide bottled water and protein snacks.

• This is a silent march.
• Signs will be provided.
• Participants must attend lineup and instructions.
• Please remain respectful of pedestrians, motorists, local businesses, and members of the community.
• Water and protein snacks will be provided.
• Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
• This is a structured performance action with a limited number of signs and positions.
• Registration is required.
If the group has the time, energy, and interest following the Voter Suppression March, an additional silent march CONSTITUTIONAL VIOLATIONS, may be held. The Voter Suppression March is the only scheduled and required march. If there is group interest in a second march it will be optional, not required.
Together, we remain visible, peaceful, disciplined, and impossible to ignore.

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action that is community-led and grounded in moral witness, public accountability, and collective care.
We expect all participants to act lawfully, seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation, and avoid engaging with individuals who disagree with our values or attempt to disrupt the event.
Weapons of any kind, including weapons legally permitted to be carried, should not be brought to this event.
