Good Noise, led by members of West Seattle Indivisible and the Vashon Island Bucket Brigade, is a hands-on workshop for making joyful, coordinated sound at protests. Our goal is to expand the number of drummers who will join rallies and sign-waving events and make good noise!
We ask that each participant bring the following materials:
— One 5 Gallon plastic bucket
— Rope: 7ft long, 5/16” diameter
— Wooden Dowels: 3/4″ – 5/8″ diameter; about 15”-16” long
With these materials, we’ll build simple 5-gallon “bucket drums”, and practice drumming in rhythm with protest chants to give protests a shared heartbeat. No musical experience required! Space is limited – sign up today!
