Hosted by ARC: “Voices of the Vote: An Open Mic on Voting Rights–via Poetry & Storytelling”
What is your voting story? With the 2026 Midterm Elections just days away, our collective voice has never been more vital. Behind every policy debate is a deeply human experience—and we are bringing those experiences to a shared national stage.
Join us on Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM CT for a captivating, virtual open mic.
We are building a truly cross-country virtual community. Whether you are dialing in from the East Coast, the West Coast, the South, or the Midwest, your regional perspective matters.
We are stripping away the digital noise. There will be no slides, no background music, and the text chat will be completely disabled.
This is a space dedicated entirely to the raw power of the human voice—featuring an opening performance followed by an open floor for community members across the United States to share stories, spoken word, and poetry on the right to vote.
How it works:
The Open Floor: The mic is open to anyone in our nationwide room.
Bring a 3-minute story, personal reflection, spoken word piece, or poem about the right to vote.
Claim Your Slot Live: Once the floor opens, simply raise your hand on camera, and our host will bring you to the virtual stage.
Pure Visual Energy: Because the text chat is off, we ask all attendees to keep their cameras on and fill the screen with physical support—using visual snaps and jazz hands to celebrate each storyteller.
Taking Action Together: At the close of our event, our host will deliver a direct verbal call to action outlining how we can continue our collective energy by phone banking, text banking, and mobilizing our local communities back home—make a plan and vote!
