Nearly 70% of Americans view the opposing political party’s members as stupid, corrupt, dangerous, untrustworthy, or hypocritical.
If you’re well-informed and care about what’s going on in the world, it can be hard to respond productively to someone whose opinions are very different from your own.
The objectives of this workshop are (a) to explore what science tells us about political thought and (b) to learn de-escalation techniques that turn contention into curiosity and conflict into common ground.
On Wednesday evening, April 29, at 7:00 over Zoom, we’ll gather for a 45-minute exploration of how to approach difficult political conversations differently. Then we’ll open the floor to your questions and observations.
