Join The Beacon for Thursday Shine the Light, as we bring our voices to the street every Thursday from 5:30-6:00 PM.
Each week, we make our voices heard wherever we are. As beacons, we shine light by making a sign and bringing it outside.
In the face of increasing violence against people throughout the country and right here on Long Island by ICE agents, we stand together to express our disapproval of our government’s brutality.
Together, we are building visible resistance and organized compassion, meeting our neighbors, and joining together in acts of solidarity. We find joy in resistance through community, music, comedy and street theater.

There are Beacon groups all over the USA. Our local Great Neck group meets every Thursday from 5:30-6:00 pm. We are joined by the Singing Resistance Great Neck to sing songs of solidarity and resistance, old and new.

A core principle behind all ICE Out For Good events is a commitment to nonviolent action and no civil disobedience. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values, and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events. All events should be held in public spaces or on public property.
