This event is for any US citizens residing in Melbourne, Australia who want to celebrate our values of freedom, democracy, and community!
We will be holding a public reading of *The Declaration of Independence*, followed by tea, coffee, cookies, and cheerful chatter.
It is important at this time that we remember the wording of this foundational document for the United States of America. From the very beginning of our country we held that it is self-evident that all people are created equal, and that we have rights among which are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Now more than ever these principles need to be celebrated!
