Celebrate 250 with Us
Patriots, consider spending Saturday, July 4th in Salisbury by participating in one or more of our planned activities. These are opportunities to celebrate our great country while reminding our community that we must stand up to protect it.
The Weekly Protest on the Town Green
Join your friends and neighbors near the White Hart Inn to denounce the policies of the Trump regime. On July 4th only, this event is from 10-11am. PLEASE NOTE TIME CHANGE just for that Saturday!
A Celebration of American Democracy – Pop-up event from 11am-noon
Please join us on your way to the Town Grove for the Salisbury Association’s Fourth of July commemoration. We’ll be standing along Route 41 and Ethan Allen Street and Route 44 and Holley Street to remind folks who pass by of the foundational values and principles of our nation. Join this action wearing your red, white, and blue and either borrow one of our signs or make your own expressing America’s promises: life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, liberty and justice for all, free speech makes America great, etc., all positive affirmations of our republic’s bedrock. In respect for the holiday, signs should be non-partisan and non-political.
Liberty Tree Project
The Salisbury Association is sponsoring their 50th celebration at the Grove starting at 12 pm. There will be a reading of the Declaration of Independence, a boat parade, and a concert by the Salisbury Band.
At the Grove, you’re invited to create contributions to our Liberty Tree. Please write what American freedom and democracy mean to you on a ribbon and tie it to the tree. (We will provide the ribbons.) The resulting community Liberty Tree will later be displayed in a public area.
*A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
