Join *Singing Resistance – West Seattle* as we prepare a special marching‑song chorus as part of the March 28 “No Kings 3” rally in Seattle.
In addition to our regular repertoire of short, accessible Singing Resistance songs, we are forming a one‑time marching chorus to bring strong, unified sound as we march on March 28. We practice a simple, powerful *a cappella* marching song designed specifically for voices on the move.
A light drum rhythm may be added to help keep cadence – drummers and pipers are warmly welcome to join us!
This is a great opportunity for anyone who loves harmony, rhythm, community singing, or simply the joy of raising your voice with others. No previous singing or choral experience is required — all voices are welcome. Bring your Singing Resistance pod – let’s practice together!
What to Expect
* A welcoming, low‑pressure rehearsal environment
* Learning a stirring, easy‑to‑pick‑up marching song
* Optional light percussion to support the beat — snare drummers and pipers encouraged to participate
* A chance to connect with others who care about community, courage, and collective voice
* Participation in a meaningful moment of public witness on March 28 (and any time thereafter!)
Why We Sing
Singing together builds courage, connection, and resilience – while de-escalting and de-stressing. Since the dawn of humanity, singing togther has helped us stay grounded, unified, and visible. Your voice – whether trained, rusty, or brand new – strengthens our whole.
