## **Join NE Lake County Indivisible Outreach & Elections Teams for postcard writing & whistle kit making!**
### People keep saying, “isn’t ICE gone? And isn’t the election far away?”
### The answers are, “No, they have just gotten sneakier. And no, voter outreach needs to start now to deliver the record turnout needed in the fall to combat gerrymandering efforts currently occurring in many MAGA states.”
We will be writing voter encouragement to Swing States, as postcards are an effective way to turn out the vote in swing states to help anti-MAGA candidates win their races. We will also be continuing to make whistle kits to share Know Your Rights information at events like future No Kings, Pride, and summer canvassing efforts. Whether you are passionate about supporting Know Your Rights efforts here in Lake County or motivating voters in swing states, we have an activity that needs you.
## Agenda:
– 10-11:30: Whistle-kit making
– 11:30-1:30: Postcard writing (and more whistle-kit making if you prefer!)
This is also a good chance to come socialize with like-minded people, and hear about all the other good work NELC-I does if you have not been to an event before. Join us for socializing, light refreshments, and doing our part. We will provide all training and supplies, so just bring yourself (and a friend or two)! Stamp donations are always appreciated, but not necessary.
