  • May Day Strong: International Workers Day Haymarket Day Festival

We’ll gather to celebrate American workers and unions as part of the May Day Strong national Day of Action and economic boycott. There will be fun for adults and children. In addition to celebrating the workers of America, May Day will be a test of our ability to use our collective economic power. 70% of the economy runs on consumer spending. Not everyone can walk out of their jobs and school – but we can all make a commitment to walk out on the corporate economy for 1 day, and patronize local small businesses only. Please make your plan for how to support the corporate boycott, and encourage others to do so as well.

Here is the schedule for the event: 5:00 Food; Art; Music; Learn about community organizations – 5:30-6:30 Speakers and Songs – 6:30 – 7 PM Mingle and Plan next steps.

*A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
