Join us on the overpass of the 55 Fwy & 17th in Tustin, CA every Monday from 8am – 10am for a freeway banner drop to take a stand opposing the oligarchs, billionaires and the regime that’s attacking our way of life and the Constitution of the USA. Join like-minded people in our community in a nonviolent, peaceful demonstration! Make your voice heard. We are the many, they are the few that want to rule us all. Take a stand for democracy. Bring your signs or help support our LARGE letter signs! Let the people be heard! Let’s make some noise!
MEET YOUR HOSTS
The Moral Mondays banner drop is hosted by Mel from Indivisible Orange, an OC Indivisible City Team. We will continue to gather for events and actions as our group grows. Please invite a friend!

The ABCs of protesting
A) Always follow traffic signals and guidance of the safety team!
Stay on sidewalks and inside marked crosswalks, cross quickly before the light changes, and do not hang over with your sign or your body into the street. This is to prevent a vehicle from hitting you, either accidentally or on purpose.
B) Beware of detractors!*
Do not talk to detractors or unaffiliated interviewers – doing so increases risks for all of us, including all the volunteers and organizers.
C) Chill vibes please! NEVER touch anyone else or their property (e.g. car, sign, backpack) without permission.
Have fun! Build community! Remember we may not agree on every point, but we’re all on the same team.
*Detractors: Please practice total non-engagement.
As our events become more popular, we may attract detractors and Trump/Elon/MAGA supporters, either passing in cars or as rally attendees.
Some of their tactics are to act friendly, ask questions, and pretend to care about your answers. They may also gesture, yell, name-call, and use foul language. They often look to get a reaction they can capture on video. They use this to make money and rile their extremist base, and will edit videos to make you look bad, no matter how eloquently you speak to them. This only encourages them to return, possibly with friends next time.
Please ignore, move away calmly, notify a safety volunteer.
Do NOT get in their personal space.
Do NOT engage with or speak to them.
Do NOT answer their questions.
Do NOT yell back at them or gesture (thumbs down, middle finger, etc.)
Do NOT post photos or videos of them online.
Do NOT reveal any personal or contact info to anyone at this or any rally you do not know to be on your side. This keeps you, our volunteers, and our organizers safe. Thank you!
This keeps you, our volunteers, and our organizers safe. Thank you!
Emergencies: Remain calm. Step quickly away from anyone who is threatening you, notify the nearest safety volunteer, and continue to move away. If a weapon is involved, run, hide, fight. https://youtu.be/TeOdxKozra0
When necessary, if you cannot reach a safety volunteer, dial 911.
