The No Kings Map is Live!
Hundreds of nonviolent protests are already planned for No Kings Day on March 28, and more are being added by the hour.
Join us as we unite the Conway community in affirming our shared commitment to American democracy!
We reject the cruel and violent treatment of immigrants; we reject a police state patrolled by heavily armed and masked federal agents; and we reject an increasingly authoritarian consolidation of governmental power. At the same time, we embrace the constitutional right to due process, the protection against unreasonable searches and seizures, and the right to freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, and freedom of the press. In short, we welcome the stranger and love our neighbors.
Our goal for this rally is to unify the community across partisan and ideological lines. In that spirit, we encourage attendees to create signs that broadcast our shared values. Please refrain from profanity, as well as divisive and inflammatory verbiage. We will be nonviolent even in our speech and will be joyful in our demeanor (inflatable costumes welcome!). Alienating our neighbors through shaming and insult is ineffective strategy in our particular locale. Instead, let’s invite the 69% of Horry County who voted for the current regime to consider their values and whether the administration is reflecting them.
