  • NO KINGS FREE SPEECH MILES

**We have the power and are claiming it together. No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings.**

Join the neighborhoods along York Road from the Baltimore city line (Walker / Gittings Avenues) north toward Cross Campus Drive and the Towson Circle for a No Kings free speech sign wave and mutual aid event from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. All ages are welcome!

    • Help fill the sidewalks with bodies, banners, signs, flags and joyful noise. (Bring your buckets and drum sticks, cow bells, bicycle horns, and pots and pans.)

    • Help our neighbors with needs: Bring a can of a high protein food, a jar of peanut butter, a box of nonperishable food, or hygiene items (tooth brushes, hand soap, period materials) or light bulbs to the curb for collection. Donations will be distributed to the Baltimore County Student Support Network and the GEDCO Cares Food Pantry.

    • Bring your reasons for protesting, favorite protest music, your musical instrument, or oratory skills to the three designated “soapbox” regions to hear and share thoughts with others. Children are encouraged to join in.

    • Activate your activism: Talk to an Indivisible Baltimore County volunteer to get a flag to wave, a button, or a sticker and learn how to get more involved in protecting civil rights, our immigrant neighbors, and making local and state legislation work for us all.

Residents from all neighborhoods are invited to join this action, especially to fill the southernmost and northern most ends of the route.

    Transportation:

    A. The Baltimore Red Bus route runs along York Rd with stops at almost every intersection.

    B. The free Towson Circulator runs along a portion of the stretch we plan to cover.

    C. We are working on securing parking for individuals with handicaps and families with small children. Updated information will be emailed to those who register.

    D. Cross roads offer some parking on the east side of York Rd.

    Want to help?

Volunteer: Register and contact the organizer if you would like to volunteer to help distribute advertisements to your neighbors, assist with the food collection and distribution, facilitate at soapbox locations, or be part of the visual documentation team. High school students are encouraged to become a part of our team.

Donate: Donations to cover the cost of printing yard signs, door hangers, posters, megaphones, etc. are welcome. Please send checks made out to Indivisible Baltimore County, to Treasurer IBC, 7113 Oxford Rd., Baltimore, MD 21212. Or, donate online at https://indivisible-baltimorecounty.org/

*A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolence. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*
